Athens
Athens was a well known city in Greece. Athens was an ancient city with the birthplace of democracy. Athens was named after the Greek goddess Athena. The structure of Athens was interesting for the design was unique. One unique building in Athens was the Temple of Athena Nike. It was built between 427 and 424 B.C. on the Acropolis. The name Nike means victory and was given to the building, since Athena is the god of war and wisdom. In Athens, there were many items that were traded such as pottery, wine, olives, figs, cheese, honey, meat, weapons, construction tools, and perfumes. The population in Athens during the 4th century was from 250,000 to 300,000 people. Kodros was once a powerful and the last leader of Athens that laid his life down in order to protect it.
