The Epic of Gilgamesh is one of the oldest epic poems on earth and was written on twelve clay tablets. The poem was found in Ancient Sumeria and was written in about 2700 BC. The poem was written about the King of Uruk. The poem was about a king who worked his people to death and treated them horribly.The gods are furious with Gilgamesh and sends many obstacles for Gilgamesh to be killed, such as the Bull of Heaven. The gods then create an exact replica of Gilgamesh to stand and rise up against him in order to save him from his abhorrent ways.
