It reached a height of 204 feet and became a normality for later kings to build grand pyramids, with each successor attempting to outdo the previous ruler. The largest and most well-known was for King Khufu and is located in Giza. It is called the Great Pyramid and when completed was at a height of 481.4 feet. In total, there are 118 known pyramids in Egypt.
