Rome
Rome was a very popular city in ancient times. Rome ruled the entire Italian Peninsula in 247B.C.E. There were two twins, Romulus and Remus, who had discovered Rome. Rome was a very powerful empire under the rule of King Caesar, who eventually fell in 44 B.C. The population in Rome was about one million and such a population needed trade in order for the survival of the many people who inhabited the city. Goods that were traded in Rome were beef, corn, glassware, iron, lead, leather, marble, olive oil, perfumes, purple dye, silk, silver, different spices, timber, tin and of course wine. Rome Continued to thrive until the desolation and destruction of the empire.
